Seminar and trade mission in Bucharest – 25 – 29 April 2010
Date and duration: 4 days from 25 April until 29 April 2010, with the seminar on 28 April.
In assignment of NL EVD International the European Gateways Platform (EGP) organises a trademission to Romania, combined with a logistic seminar on April 28, from 25 to 29 April 2010. This sequel to the successful Road to Romania mission of 2009, has the goal to further promote and position the Dutch logistics and infrastructure sector in the upcoming market of Romania.
The mission ends with a logistic seminar with the theme:
EMPOWERING ROMANIA AS THE EASTGATE TRADE HUB OF EUROPE.
The spearheads of the seminar are:
- Soft infrastructure elements (VAT, AEO, customs)
- Inter modal transportation solutions
- Logistic network optimalisation and Total Cost of Operation
During former editions of this seminar 85% of the visitors came from Romania. They were mainly supply chain managers and directors in the Romanian business sector.
Surrounding the logistic seminar a Holland Trade Market is organised. Participant to the trade mission have free entrance to the trade market. Plus you have the opportunity to present your company on the Holland Trade market with a stand. For more information on the possibilities and the costs we are happy to further inform you.
The trade mission prior to the seminar offers an exetended program of company visits, networking events and contacts with relevant government institutions. By individual matchmaking, expert discussions and company visits in Bucharest and Ploiesti and the seminar you get acquainted with the Romanian market and you have the opportunity to present your company to relevent Romanian parties.

- Afternoon: Logistic seminar. Organised together with the Dutch Romanian Chamber of Commerce. Subjects:
- targets and progress Retrack (TNO)
- experience in developing intermodal policy
- progress development corridor Rotterdam – Constanta
- projects in development: Giurgiu and the Donau
- harbor company Constanta – development
- Networking event
Thursday 29 April: departure
This day can alos be used for follow up visits.
If you prefer it is also possible to take the last flight back to Amsterdam on Wednesday 28 April. We will make sure the program finishes in time.
The Trade Mission and Logistic Seminar are open for all Dutch companies. Be aware though that the number of participants is limited. The costs for participating in the trade mission are € 500,00 per company and are including the costs for the logistic seminar. If you only want to participate in the seminar the costs are € 175,00 per company. Travel and overnight cotst are not included.

This seminar including trade mission is part of the 2g@there programme ‘Improving Logistics and Infrastructure’, with which the EVD supports the activities of the EGP in Romania. The objective for this programme is to optimally position the Netherlands trade and industry so they can acquire relevant leads and business in the logistics and (wet) infrastructure sector in Romania.
