Matchmaker for logistics partnerships in Europe

ndlhidc_logoNDL/HIDC (Holland International Distribution Council) is the matchmaker for logistics in Europe. We are a private, non-profit and independent organization representing 450 companies in the Dutch logistics industry.

All our advisory services are:

  • free of charge,
  • totally confidential, and
  • without any obligation.

Based on years of experience and in-depth knowledge of European logistics. NOL/HIDC supplies tailor-made advice and match-making services to foreign companies that are entering the European market for the first time, or that are expanding or re-engineering their European supply chain structures. All members of NDL/HIDC have strong track records in their respective fields, enabling us to identify the most suitable logistics service providers for every inquiry. In short, NDL/HIDC’s matchmaking process usually consists of the following steps:

1. Advice on European supply chain structures and assistance in defining logistics requirements;

In order for us to give valuable advice and offer our match-making services, it is important that we have a good understanding of your company’s specific product or market characteristics, your current supply chain set-up and your company’s goals and objectives for the future. We therefore ask companies to fill out a logistics questionnaire, which includes questions about the type of product, size of the operation, distribution patterns, location of customers, etc.

2. Neutral advice on logistics partner selection;

We have profiles of hundreds of logistics service providers. More importantly, we know these organizations personally. This enables us to select providers that can best meet your needs. So, if we know your business and requirements, we guarantee to act as your matchmaker for a profitable and lasting partnership.

3. Arrange ‘Fast Finding Trips’ in the Netherlands
to meet potential partners;

seeing is believing, therefore we advise companies to visit a selection of potential partners before making any decisions. We can arrange these meetings and will accompany you during this trip (so that you do not have to worry about transportation) and will give you advice and feedback.

4. Assistance with every step – now and in the
future;

In addition to choosing your European logistics partners, you will be making decisions on a number of other fronts. Through our network partners we can provide you with contacts and/or information, which can range from financial planning, through customs arrangements, to fiscal provisions and legal contingencies. NDL/HIDC will work with you through every step of the process. Moreover, NDL/HIDC’s team will continue to be at your service after relationships with partners in the Netherlands have been established. We will always be available to assist you, should you need to take additional steps in the European market.
