Who ensures that the supermarket is stocked to capacity? Who brings fresh cut flowers from the grower to the auction? Who collects household refuse? Everyday over 100,000 lorries drive backwards and forwards to keep the Netherlands stocked. Efficiently and on time.

Transport en Logistiek Nederland (TLN) is the representative association for freight transport by road in The Netherlands. TLN is an employers’ association to which some 6.000 hauliers and logistics service providers are affiliated.

An association that stands up for the interests of the entire industry.

A pillar of support and adviser for the individual entrepreneur but also a leading discussion partner for municipalities and provinces. And at the same time an expert point of contact for the political system in The Hague and Brussels.

Dutch transport, a significant industry Dutch transport companies (hire and reward) and logistics service providers annually carry some 486 million tonnes of freight by road. In 2009 the industry consisted of 12.000 companies, employing 144.000 people in road haulage. Its 19 billion turnover represents 1.8% of Dutch GNP. The logistic sector as a whole employed 617.000 people.
